I mentioned before that we live 5 minutes from an Ikea. I am totally in love with this store. I've been looking for bedding for Chandler's room and found a really cute line there. The nice thing - everything is really cheap :) I've started doing Chan's room in the Barnslig line but am limited to do a little at a time - whatever our funds allow at the time.
I've got his bedding, a rug, and a pop up toy thing that I actually put on the wall. There's lots more I want to do in the room. There are some cute animals I'd like to get for the bed, shelving, curtains. The nice thing is that you can actually buy the textiles. I want curtains to match the bedding but they didn't have the material in last time I was in the store. I'll have to look again this week. I'd also like to paint an accent wall like a bright blue, green or red but am trying to decide if it's worth it to paint. I'd like to paint to have a more personal touch but then again if we end up moving next summer we'd have to paint over it again. So I guess I'm still undecided. I'd also like to do something with the little dresser we bought (also from Ikea) but not sure what my options are. I'm a little clueless when it comes to decorating if you can't tell. His room is still a little plain but hopefully it will come along in the next few months. There are a couple rooms on the Ikea site that I'd love to have, and I love the bunk beds. Maybe in a couple years when the boys are older. This bunk bed room is also done in the Barnslig. I love everything about it except the pink flowers on the wall, lol - maybe not for boys. I love the tent on the top bunk. Super cute.

Oh my gosh, I am so jealous! What cute stuff, I can't believe you are so close to IKEA. I absolutley LOVE to decorate and can't wait until the day when I can paint walls. Hope all is going well for you guys!
ohhh I love Ikea they built one right by our house in Oregon then we moved out here a week later. I think his room looks cute. Is Rowan is your room or another room?
looking really cute, i am working on Ethan's room right now. Its hard to decide what to do! Anyway, i am sad that you are gone!
I so need to get to and Ikea. Everytime I go up to Portland, I say I am going to hit the Ikea, but I never do. Maybe next trip.
I wouldn't bother painting the wall. It isn't worth it when you are renting. It's a waste of money. Then you have to repaint over it when you move out, which isn't fun to think about when you have to load boxes etc.
What? I was in Ikea a few weeks ago and didn't see that cute bedding! Darn it.
Love the stuff you picked out, and my opinion on the painting thing- as long as you are sure you can get the same paint (a lot of apartment complexes provide it for you) WHY NOT. It would cost you 15 dollars for a gallon of paint and take a few hours to cover up. Painting is so easy and cheap and makes such a big difference. I say go for it!
